Temporary Traffic Accommodation Plan

As a Responsible Care® company, the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, neighbours and the community is Methanex’s number one priority. Between now and the end of October 2020, there will be increased traffic (general and heavy truck) turning onto and off Box Springs Road both at our manufacturing facility’s main entrance, as well as a new entrance north of our existing plant site.
In alignment with our commitment to maintain the highest safety standards, Methanex sought and received approval from the City of Medicine Hat for a temporary traffic accommodation plan on Box Springs Road NW (running north/south in front of the Methanex plant site). A map of the affected section of Box Springs Road NW is provided on page 2. The traffic changes will be in place from August 4, 2020 to November 5, 2020.

The temporary traffic accommodation zone will include the following changes:
• Extension to the 60-km/hr speed limit and No Passing zones
• Posted Trucks Turning signs
• Posted Construction Zone signs

Methanex requests your patience and encourages you to drive carefully in the affected areas, be aware of additional road traffic and heavy vehicles, obey the speed limit, and not pass in the posted zone.
